Citarella Gourmet Market aimed to create a unified brand identity across locations, catalogs, menus, ads, and marketing materials. This required establishing branding and photography guidelines, plus a website overhaul on Magento’s e-commerce platform. The new site also needed to sync with multiple locations’ POS inventory systems and manage perishable product fulfillment efficiently.
The Challenge
Success relied on close collaboration among the client, the creative team, and supportive work environments. Ensuring brand consistency, integrating complex POS systems, and handling perishable product logistics demanded careful coordination. By maintaining open communication, the project goals and deliverables were smoothly achieved.
Solution
As lead creative director, I created comprehensive brand and photography guidelines for Citarella, ensuring consistency across 5,000+ products. The redesigned website integrated these guidelines on Magento, connected with multiple POS systems, and managed perishable fulfillment by proximity. I also directed the first-year photoshoots, guaranteeing a cohesive look and feel at every customer touchpoint.
Results
The Citarella Gourmet Market project resulted in a cohesive brand identity across all locations and marketing materials, a consistent approach to product photography, and a redesigned e-commerce website that effectively communicated with multiple inventory management systems.
