Citarella Gourmet Market sought to establish a consistent and cohesive brand identity across all locations, catalogs, menus, advertising, and marketing materials. The project involved creating branding guidelines, photography guidelines, and redesigning their website to integrate with a new Magento e-commerce platform while communicating with multiple locations’ POS inventory management and perishable product fulfillment systems.

The Challenge:
Citarella Gourmet Market sought to establish a consistent and cohesive brand identity across all locations, catalogs, menus, advertising, and marketing materials. The project involved creating branding guidelines, photography guidelines, and redesigning their website to integrate with a new Magento e-commerce platform while communicating with multiple locations’ POS inventory management and perishable product fulfillment systems.

Solution:
As the lead creative director, I focused on establishing a strong brand identity for Citarella by creating comprehensive branding guidelines that would be consistently applied across all touchpoints. This included developing photography guidelines for future photoshoots to maintain consistency across their extensive 5,000+ product inventory.

For the website redesign, I ensured the new branding and photography guidelines were seamlessly integrated while updating the site to work with the Magento e-commerce platform. This involved establishing communication with multiple locations’ POS inventory management systems and designing a solution for perishable product fulfillment based on proximity.

To set a benchmark for future photoshoots, I also directed all photoshoots for the first year, ensuring the new photography guidelines were successfully implemented and maintained.

Results:
The Citarella Gourmet Market project resulted in a cohesive brand identity across all locations and marketing materials, a consistent approach to product photography, and a redesigned e-commerce website that effectively communicated with multiple inventory management systems.
